The surprising thing is the a lot of 12 year olds figured in the survey conducted by Nielsen and the startling revelation is that most of them prefer to be gifted an iPad. They want a regular one, and are not too keen on being gifted the iPad mini. The regular iPad came out as the most preferred, with more than half of the kids opting for the regular one and less than a third expressing interest in the iPad mini.
However, the love for the Apple brand seems to be infectious, with several others preferring the other popular products of Apple. A distinct number of kids vouched for the iPod, which they claim, is and will be an all time favourite. The same goes to the iPhone 5 with several girls expressing their desire to possess one, though most are not too keen on getting alternatives like Microsoft Surface. The most popular and sought after brand as of today still remains the ubiquitous Apple.
