We have seen several lawsuits filed by Samsung and Apple related to patents. Though we did not hear these for few days, it does not mean that it is over. The legal battle still continues.
It is well known that Samsung holds the patent rights for standardized 3G technology for mobile devices and now the issue is Samsung not providing fair access to its competitors. Apple iPad is one of the competitors which is affected because of this.
Irrespective of Samsung agreed to grant access to others in 1998, Brussels have a suspect over Samsung. Again, it is like back to square one. Isn’t it? Yes? No? Let us know your comments in the comments section.
Dusseldorf court Judge Wilhelm Berneke mentioned in his ruling that “Samsung wrongly used the enormous reputation and prestige of the iPad”. In addition, the court also notified that, the new Tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab10.1N will not come under the other Galaxy Tab. Because of the ruling, obviously Samsung is not satisfied.
In related to this ruling, Samsung said that, “It will continue to struggle and also to make necessary actions and measures to ensure continued access over its innovative product”.
The recent result from Dutch court on 24th January said that, Galaxy Tab is not a copy of Apple’s iPad, thereby letting Samsung to sell its Tablet in Netherlands. Just visit the link here to know about Apple losing the lawsuit and Samsung wins lawsuit against Apple.
